New Light Christian Church is a diverse congregation located in the Rainer Valley of Seattle. We love Jesus Christ, cherish his gospel, and proclaim the Christ-centered word. We believe this is a wonderful opportunity for a ministry-minded administrator. The position requires attention to detail, skill with computers, an ability to anticipate needs, create systems, and people skills. The Administrator will assist the pastor by organizing ministries, volunteers, and communications of the church.

The responsibilities of the Church Administrator include but are not limited to the following:
~ Be the primary point of contact for the church, answering and returning phone calls and phone messages, and opening and organizing all incoming and outgoing mail.
~ Maintain and update the website, Facebook and Twitter accounts.
~ Design, write and oversee church email communications. Organize, design, and update the weekly Sunday worship folders and keynote slides.
~ Organize and communicate with those leading Sunday worship.
~ Occasionally organize volunteer teams for large set-up and takedown.
~Assess equipment and supply needs for the church and be the point person for all purchasing in the church, maintaining an eye towards budgetary restrictions in good communication with the Church Treasurer.
~ Assist the pastor in organizing, creating policies for, and training volunteer leaders and teams for various services in the church.
~ Facilitate the application process for new members and children’s ministry volunteers.
~ Mobilize and be in good communication with key volunteers such as the Trustees, Nursery, Children’s ministry volunteers.
~ Organize, print and collate Agenda Packets for Members’ and Elders’ Meetings. Organize, print and collate packets for Children’s Ministry Trainings, Periodic Member Meetings.

~ Track various points of data such as member attendance, shut-in visitations, pastoral visitations, action items from Elders’ meeting, etc. for a weekly ministry report for the Pastor.
~ Maintain an up to date Church Directory for the website and quarterly distribution at Members’ Meetings.
~ Assist the pastor by scheduling meetings.
~ Anticipate needs to streamline the ministry and service of the church, and to design, organize and maintain systems to meet those needs.

- Education: Diploma or GED required. College Degree Preferred.

The position is a part-time position. 32* hours per week.
Salary $16.50 per hour.
