The Associate Pastor's role is to build strong relationships with the local community, help create a culture of evangelism, and provide avenues for people to mobilize the gospel.
Reporting to the Senior Pastor, the Associate Pastor is responsible for providing pastoral care to the members of ERCC and will work proactively to equip them to care for others.
The Associate Pastor will be the primary support person for the Senior Pastor.

Responsibilities:
• Support the Senior Pastor in the accomplishment of the church’s mission through ministry evaluation, discernment, decision making, planning and the overall direction of church staff
• Collaborate with the Senior Pastor in designing and upholding a ministry structure based off the church’s current goals and resources
• Work closely with the head of each ministry to make sure each ministry understands the vision of the church and how it directly impacts their ministry.
• Champion the development of systems and infrastructure for all leadership and ministry areas that support the healthy, long-term growth of the church
• Train and develop all leadership teams towards an effective reach of the church’s overall mission through a leadership development pathway, produce necessary curriculum for trainings
• Lead the pastoral staff in the execution of their day-to-day ministry responsibilities
• Design and implement evangelism and discipleship initiatives under the vision of the Senior Pastor
• Identify strategic opportunities for partnership with other local churches and community-based organizations in the advancement of the Gospel in Renton and the surrounding areas
• Preach as necessary
• Provide pastoral care to congregants as needed

Requirements:
Minimum Requirements
• Personal relationship with Jesus Christ that exhibits exemplary character
• BA/BS from an accredited college or university
• 3 years of pastoral experience leading/ministering to an adult congregation.
• Strong organizational, management, and communication skills
• Ability to work with all age groups
• Excellent Oral and Written communication skills
• Must be a team player demonstrating integrity and a strong work ethic.
• The heart of a servant leader
Desired Qualifications
• Master’s degree in theological studies (M. Div. or higher degree) from an accredited seminary.
• 3+ years of experience in full-time ministry
