Statement Of Faith:

The Children’s Ministries Director is responsible for the implementation and development of programming for the spiritual formation of children (infant – 5th grade). The Children’s Director provides leadership, recruiting, training, support and oversight to all Children’s Ministry volunteer staff. This is a part-time job 20 to 25 hours. Essential functions include:
Maintaining and implementing vision, strategy, and goals for all Children’s Ministry
Recruiting, developing, scheduling and communicating to Children’s Ministries volunteers.
Scheduling and staffing Children’s Ministry Sunday morning programs.
Creating, implementing, and maintaining child safety procedures and security protocols.
Developing and maintaining childhood learning environments for every age level, including for children with developmental disabilities and special needs.
Providing communication to parents.
Overseeing curriculum choice and use.
Overseeing Children’s Ministries budget and finances.
Scheduling and staffing Children’s Ministry events
Overseeing childcare for Children’s Ministries and all-church events.
Reporting regularly to the Senior Pastor and Board of Overseers Partner.
Qualifications/Requirements include:
Active and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ evidenced by action, confirmed witness, attitude, and behavior.
Must pass criminal background check.
A passion for children to know Christ and grow as His disciples
Education: Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a ministry or child-related field preferred.
Able to teach children and adults.
At least two years previous experience with direction and administration of a church Children’s Ministries or Family Ministries program.
Experience in scheduling, recruiting, and training volunteer leaders and teachers.
Experience in designing and developing children’s ministry programs.
Experience or interest in working with children with developmental disabilities and/or special needs.
Effective communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal).
Demonstrated ability to understand and relate to children.
Administrative ability to efficiently coordinate multiple events and programs.
Proficient in a PC or MAC office suite.
Fully embraces the mission, vision and values of Grace Point.
A teachable heart, willing to ever expand, learn, and be developed in their role(s).
Ability to sit/bend/stoop and lift/carry children up to 40 pounds.
