Chugwater Valley Church (CVC) in Chugwater, Wyoming is currently seeking a full-time Senior Pastor. We are looking for a Godly man that can proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ, teach the Word of God, and lead and guide church leaders, members, attenders, and the unchurched. We are a small-town church with a passion for community, missions, and being there for one another. We are looking for a pastor that shares these attributes and has a desire to work and serve with people of all ages, including youth and young families as they are an important part of the future of any church. Being an integral part of the community has always been a cornerstone of Chugwater Valley Church and previous pastors, and it is important that we continue that into the future. We desire a Godly man that will dig in and put boots on the ground and be there alongside us as we all work to further God’s kingdom.
The Senior Pastor must seek God’s vision for the church and work with church leaders to fulfill God’s mission and vision for the church. He should have the ability to partner with church leaders and members to utilize available gifts and resources to develop and implement the vision of the church both internally and with the surrounding community. The Pastor should demonstrate strong moral character and lead by example with traits of being approachable, humble, prayerful, and dedicated to discipleship, worship, and service unto God. He must have the ability to relate to a multigenerational congregation and show a strong commitment to Pastoral care and outreach to those in the surrounding community both church members and others.
I. Qualifications:
a. A deep commitment to as well as a passionate follower of Jesus Christ with consistent spiritual and moral character, fulfilling the leadership qualifications of an elder (1 Tim 3:2-7; Titus 1:6-9)
b. Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with a multigenerational congregation.
c. Leadership with a passion for empowering others and working in collaboration with the various church ministries and other church leaders.
d. Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure in a loving and respectful manner.
e. Is physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually willing and able to participate in various aspects of church ministry and outreach.
f. Seminary optimal, Bible School training acceptable.

II. Responsibilities:
a. Provide spiritual leadership to the congregation in a manner that fosters a culture of faith, love, prayer, giving, and service.
b. Develop and deliver engaging, biblically based weekly sermons during worship service, and on special occasions such as Christmas and Easter services as well as officiate special services such as weddings, funerals, baptisms, etc. as needed.
c. Plan and lead services, collaborating with the worship and other ministry teams to ensure that services are meaningful and spiritually enriching.
d. Provide pastoral care to members of the congregation and surrounding community, including visiting the sick, counseling those in need, and offering support during times of crisis.
e. Facilitate and encourage spiritual growth and discipleship through the development and implementation of small group ministries, Bible studies, and other programs.
f. Work with the church leadership to establish and execute a vision and strategic plan for the church that includes growth and development.
g. Engage and build relationships within the local community, participating in outreach and mission activities, and collaborating with other organizations to address community needs.
h. Mentor and support church staff and volunteers, fostering a positive, collaborative environment.
i. Maintain ties with the Rocky Mountain Church Network (RMCN) as a potential connection with other pastors in the region and for mentoring as needed. Also, maintain ties with Frontier School of the Bible (FSB) as they provide ministry support to CVC.
j. Actively engage with the various church committees and participate as a voting member on the church council.
k. Provide monthly reports to the church council as well as quarterly reports to the church body at business meetings.

The compensation package includes a base salary, medical, automobile, and retirement allowances, paid vacation, and housing in the church parsonage with basic utilities included.
