First Baptist Church of Durham, KS, is a stable and vibrant small-town church with a long history of effective and fruitful ministry. Durham is located 10 minutes from Hillsboro, KS, 30 minutes from McPherson, KS, and under an hour from Wichita and Salina, KS. Within proximity is an array of youth and family activities, attractions, colleges, professional sporting events, shopping, lakes, parks, and outdoor recreational opportunities. Though manufacturing, education, and aerospace industries are regionally present, small businesses and ag-related businesses are the backbone of the economy. Known for being a doctrinally sound and Bible-teaching congregation, First Baptist Church has been blessed by younger and older pastors for over 125 years. Today, the church is looking for a godly man who is an effective Bible teacher who will relationally and evangelistically connect with the community. Furthermore, FBC is looking for a pastor to help facilitate its growth vision by developing ministry systems that help sustain the church's growth, membership, and volunteerism. With a Christian college located 15 minutes away, this could be a good opportunity for more experienced pastors desiring to serve as an adjunct professor. Though we are looking for a pastor with some pastoral ministry experience, recent Bible college and seminary graduates are also encouraged to apply.
