Youth Director/Intern to Hire Job Summary
The Youth Director/Minister (Intern available) will be primarily responsible for developing resilient Jesus followers by helping students develop a Biblical worldview and strong personal faith. Through thoughtful planning and preparation, the Youth Director/Minister (Intern available) will provide leadership for regular middle school and high school student Bible study, discipleship, praise/worship, evangelism, missions education, missions involvement and fellowship events in a safe (physically and emotionally) and engaging environment. This part- time position requires a Friday evening and Sunday morning schedule.
Qualifications
1. The Youth Director/Minister (Intern available) shall have a passion for Jesus that is contagious.
2. This person shall be an approachable and outgoing Christian, a member in good standing of an evangelical church. This person shall have a genuine commitment to the gospel ministry and a sense of divine call to the ministry of youth (middle school and high school).
3. This person must have the ability to plan, organize, direct and lead the Youth Ministry of a dynamic and growing church while staying current in best practices for working with youth.
4. This person shall have sufficient skills and experience to relate Bible teachings and applications to real life questions and situations that apply to youth and their families in an increasingly challenging culture.
5. This person shall demonstrate the ability to meaningfully interact and communicate with youth and their families to build lasting redemptive relationships.
6. This person shall demonstrate the ability to recruit, train, empower and lead a team of ministry volunteers.
7. Bachelors in related field and/or seminary degree preferred.

Responsibility:
1. Serve and support the vision, mission and strategic plan of the church.
2. Involvement and fellowship in collaboration with the Senior Pastor, Elder Core Team and Administration and ministry volunteers.
3. Coordinate and lead Sunday morning and Friday night youth programming and/or other youth activities in collaboration with the Senior Pastor.
4. Plan, implement and attend youth summer camps, retreats, mission activities, outreach events.
5. Recruit, inspire, train, empower and equip ministry volunteers to support the vision of the youth ministry, as well as coordinate ministry volunteer scheduling.
6. Develop and guide a Youth Ministry Council for planning, collaboration, calendaring and accountability.
7. The Youth Director/Minister (or Intern) shall:
1. Be under the direct supervision of and report directly to the Pastoral Team Work in close cooperation with leadership teams and other members of the church staff.
2. Collaborate with the Pastoral Team in making EBTCC a friendly and welcoming place for youth and their families.
