About the Eagle Point Community Bible Church:
Eagle Point Community Bible Church (EPCBC) is located in Southern Oregon’s Rogue Valley, where Medford is the primary population base and includes interstate access and an international airport. The area boasts year round outdoor recreation, a University (SOU) and four distinct seasons. Specifically, Eagle Point is a bedroom community to Medford and primarily includes working class families and a retired population.
EPCBC is a non-denominational church of 250-350 adults on a Sunday morning. Our fastest growing demographic is young families. Our desire is to fulfill the great commission in seeing them know and grow in their faith in Jesus. In alignment with this desire, we are seeking a Children’s Ministry Director to join our current staff of full-time Pastor and Youth Pastor along with various part-time employees.

• Purpose: The purpose of the Eagle Point Community Bible Church is to glorify God and to enjoy Him forever.
• Mission: The mission of Eagle Point Community Bible Church is to accomplish our vision by the following means:
Equipping believers for works of ministry and helping them to mature in Christ.
Becoming a church of compassion comprised of praying people willing to give ourselves away for the cause of the least and the lost. Building strategic bridges between our church and the communities in which We live. work and play.
• Vision: The vision of Eagle Point Community Bible Church is to bring the people of our community and the communities we serve into a life transforming encounter with the living God and to teach them to live as members of God's Family, growing in maturity and becoming Christ-like in their daily lives.
Children’s Ministries Director: Coordinates the various children’s (Birth-5th grade) ministries at EPCBC to the glory of God. Director will lead and develop effective ministries that facilitate spiritual transformation in children. Director will minister to children within the church body and the larger community. Director will lead volunteers and children into a transforming encounter with the living God through their teaching and Christ-like living.
General Responsibilities: Children’s Ministry Director will work with staff and Elders to organize and implement programs for EPCBC. Specifically, this position will partner with the youth pastor in a cohesive ministry plan from infant through high school graduation that includes:
1) Community Involvement Programs & Ministries: Reaching into the community to make the gospel relevant to the lost and hurting through a wide variety of children’s programs. I.e. Vacation Bible School, Downtown Hoedown, 4th of July celebration, etc.
2) Sunday Morning Children’s Church: Oversee all aspects of Sunday Morning Children’s Church operations (Curriculum, volunteers, activities, etc)
3) School Program ministry: Coordinates with schools, enlist volunteers, review, and provide curriculum, oversee procedures.
4) Kids Camp Ministry: Plan and implement the operations of Kids camp.
5) Mid-week Program: Oversee all aspects of a mid-week children’s program.
6) Various Summer Activities: Plan and organize events at church or local parks/venues for activities that build relationships and help make connections with families/kids. I.e.: sports days, water activities, field trips, crafts, etc.
7) Volunteer recruitment and training: Recruit, train, and lead volunteers to live and serve like Jesus. This will include discipleship of and learning from volunteers, understanding their spiritual maturity, specific areas of giftedness (I.e. teaching, games, 1 on 1 discipleship, etc.).
8) Individual and small group discipleship as appropriate: Engage with children in small groups or individually in ways that are appropriate per parental, cultural, and relational expectations in order to disciple as effectively as possible.
Oversight and Covering: The Children’s Ministries Director will report to the Pastor and Elder Board. The Pastor and Elder Board will provide a Spiritual and practical covering for the Director.
Hours: The Children’s Ministries Director will contribute approx. 40 hours per week. However, at times there may be more hours put in during certain weeks (Kids camp, VBS) and less during others.
Compensation and Benefits: Will be at or above the industry standard and take into consideration applicant’s experience and education.
Qualifications:
1. Mature Christian faith demonstrated through doctrine and practice.
a. Doctrine: Must believe, affirm and have conversational knowledge of EPCBC statement of belief. What We Believe | Epcbc
b. Practice: Lifestyle should reflect Christ-like behavior and model the fruits of the Spirit. While not perfect, unrepentant sin should not have a place in this position.
2. Christian educational training (ei: College, Seminary, etc) or at least 3 years in Children’s ministry experience or a combination of the two.
3. A sense of calling from the Holy Spirit to fill this role generally in Children’s ministry and specifically at EPCBC.
4. Clear Communication, Team work, and being self-driven will be vital to success in this position.
