The primary focus of the Director of Ministries of Valley Life Tramonto is to care for people within the church, galvanize a staff team, drive engagement into the community, and implement the vision of Valley Life Church.

Your primary role is to oversee the discipleship, growth, and care of the people at the campus. You will do this by:
Pastoring the church, including but not limited, pastoral care, pre and post marital counseling, weddings, funerals, etc.
Following up with first time guests, having new member interviews, and meeting with people within the church throughout the week
Building a growing Discipleship Ministry of healthy community groups, a men’s and women’s ministry, discipleship groups, and marriage ministry
Overseeing the development and equipping of Community Group Leaders, Coaches, Men’s and Women’s Ministry leaders, and Marriage Mentors
Coordinating the newcomers, baptism, & membership processes and classes
Overseeing the assimilation process from first time guest to membership
Executing the strategy to develop members to be missionaries to be able to go, teach, baptize, and make disciples.
Consult with Operations team to implement/refine systems that are used by the Community Groups and Connections Team, including but not limited to Planning Center and Google Drive
Lead the Ministry Staff
Your primary role is to oversee a healthy, growing ministry staff that carries out the mission, vision, and strategy of Valley Life Church. You will do this by:
Leading and overseeing Valley Life Church Tramonto paid and volunteer ministry staff
Developing a healthy leadership structure by recruiting and raising up key leaders within the church, providing leadership development and coaching
Communicating and driving the mission and vision of Valley Life Church
Implementing the strategy of the church utilizing the ministry outlines for key ministries areas
Creating and driving towards the accomplishment of the key goals and objectives for Valley Life Church Tramonto
Oversee the ministry staff budget and calendar as a discipleship tool for the leaders within the ministry department
Preaching of the Word
Help the Lead Pastor develop and execute the annual sermon calendar. You will do this by:
Participating in a weekly preaching collective to collaborate and add to the sermon outline
Coordinating with the Lead Pastor on predetermined weekend services to preach throughout the year
Contributing to the sermon calendaring process
Personal Responsibilities
Maintain God ordained priorities in your life by putting Jesus Christ first, your spouse second, your children third and the ministry fourth
Invest and invite non-believers to know Jesus and come to Valley Life Church.

Office Hours
The work week is from Sunday - Thursday with Fridays and Saturdays as needed for meetings throughout the year.
Sundays: The Director of Ministries is expected to be on campus early to ensure everything is set up and ready for services, and to ensure there is a plan for everything to be closed down properly after services.
Monday - Thursday: Start and end of day hours can be flexible as necessary to complete the above scope of work. This position is an in-office role. There will be weekly Staff Meetings, Staff 1-on-1s, meetings with the Lead Pastor, as well as other meetings pertaining to Valley Life Church.

First 30 Days: Learning and Relationship Building
Primary Focus: Understand the church's culture, build relationships with staff and members, and assess current processes.
Key Objectives:
1. Orientation and Observation
Meet with the Lead Pastor to understand the overall mission, vision, and strategy of Valley Life Church.
Review and familiarize yourself with existing systems, tools (e.g., Planning Center and Google Drive, Internal Communications methods, etc.), and processes for assimilation, discipleship, and operations.
Attend and observe all weekly services and key meetings (e.g., staff meetings, 1:1s, and preaching collective).
2. Build Relationships
Introduce yourself to campus staff, key ministry leaders, and congregation members.
Schedule 1:1 meetings with staff and volunteers to understand their roles and gather feedback on current strengths and challenges.
Follow up with first-time guests and begin meeting members throughout the week.
3. Assess Current Ministries and Operations
Evaluate the state of discipleship ministries (e.g., community groups, families, men’s and women’s ministries).
Review the effectiveness of the current assimilation process for newcomers, baptisms, and membership.
Review any current goals / KPIs and assess.
Observe how the campus engages with the community and assess partnerships with local schools and businesses.
Deliverables:
Develop an initial assessment of the campus’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and challenges (SWOC).
Provide a summary report to the Lead Pastor outlining your observations and potential areas for improvement.
Days 31-60: Evaluation and Early Implementation
Primary Focus: Begin leading teams, improving processes, and driving engagement in discipleship and community outreach.
Key Objectives:
1. Lead and Support Staff
Take active leadership of the campus staff, overseeing their roles and responsibilities.
Begin implementing a leadership development and coaching plan for key leaders and volunteers.
Work on creating a healthy staff structure by recruiting new leaders as needed.
2. Enhance Discipleship and Assimilation
Develop an action plan for strengthening discipleship ministries, including community groups, men’s/women’s ministries, families, and discipleship groups and consider KPIs / Goals.

Take responsibility for managing the campus budget and calendar, ensuring alignment with the church’s mission.
Set measurable goals for all ministry areas (discipleship, outreach, assimilation) and communicate them to staff and volunteers.
Oversee the preparation for and execution of Sunday services, ensuring excellence in all aspects of the experience.
2. Strategic Vision and Preaching
Contribute to the sermon calendaring process and preach as scheduled.
Develop and present a strategic vision for the next year, incorporating discipleship, outreach, and growth objectives.
3. Deepen Community Impact
Solidify partnerships with schools and businesses, creating a sustainable community engagement plan.
Develop a roadmap for ongoing outreach and community events that align with the campus’s mission.
