Job Summary:
The Pastor is the spiritual shepherd of the congregation of IIC - this role encompasses the Biblical responsibilities of teaching, pastoral care, leadership and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities :
Preaching and Teaching:
Preach and teach to spiritually feed the congregation
Foster discipleship and spiritual growth through small groups, Bible studies, and mentorship programs

Spiritual Leadership:
Provide overall direction for all church ministries
Model servant leadership and promote a high standard of Christian living
Ensure all activities glorify God and align with the church’s constitution and bylaws

Worship and Sacraments:
Oversee and lead Sunday worship services
Administer baptism, communion, and officiate ceremonies such as marriages, funerals, and baby dedications

Shepherding & Care:
Provide spiritual guidance, counseling, visitation and other spiritual support to individuals and families in the congregation
Help with conflict resolution and reconciliation
Cultivate spiritual gifts within the church body and encourage active participation in ministry

Administration and Management:
Work with the church’s administrative council to effectively manage operational priorities
Advise the administrative council on resource allocations and church budgets to align with the church’s mission

Required Qualifications:
Scripturally qualified in character – 1 Tim 3, Titus 1, 2 Peter 5
Strong biblical teaching skills and a deep understanding of scripture
Adhering to the sufficiency and inerrancy of the Bible
Spiritually mature and committed to a Christ-centered lifestyle
Approachable, compassionate, and dedicated to the well-being of the congregation
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Prior experience in pastoral ministry
