| Statement Of Faith: | Abridged We believe that the Bible is God’s inspired Word with authority to direct our lives… We worship one God in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit… God the Father is holy and loving. He watches over us all and accomplishes his purposes in the world… Jesus Christ is the Son of God who died for our sins and rose again… The Holy Spirit is present and at work in every believer’s life… Man was created in God’s image, but his sin separates him from God… We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus alone… The Church is Christ’s body and the key instrument of God’s working in the world today... Jesus Christ will return to earth and rule for a thousand years… Church and state are separate… Each person is responsible and free to worship God according to his own conscience... The Position:
The Senior Pastor of New Life Church will be a spiritually mature leader who is deeply rooted in Christ and exemplifies integrity, authenticity, and strong relational skills. He will work with the Elders to lead with vision, humility, and a passion for teaching God’s Word, guiding the church toward deeper spiritual growth and Kingdom effectiveness. The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of pastoral experience, a Master of Divinity (preferred), and a commitment to discipleship and expository preaching. He will foster a culture of collaboration, care for the congregation, and be committed to both the church's heritage and its future mission.
Consideration may be given to those with pastoral experience who are currently in a degree program. Discounts for continued studies are available through partner seminaries.
New Life Church
New Life Church (NLC) is a 25-year-old congregation of approximately 100+ that appreciates solid, exegetical preaching. The church strives to provide believers with a climate in which to worship the Lord, develop personal spiritual growth by the exercise of our God-given gifts, and a heart to love each other and attract and lead our community into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We believe the Bible is the foundation for both our faith and our daily lives.
Currently we are being served by an intentional interim pastor. We have been using this time to prepare for the next chapter of what God wants us to do in SE Minnesota and beyond. We are going through a strategic development process and are building goals to accomplish in the next 12-18 months. Our new pastor will join a team of elders to help us bring glory to God.
NLC serves communities in a 20-mile radius with a population of 75,000.
The Communities:
Wanamingo is a welcoming small town located in Southeast Minnesota with opportunities for industrial, agricultural, and small business growth. It’s also a friendly community to build a home, raise a family, and stay for the golden years. Located 30 minutes from the Mayo Clinic and 50 minutes to the Twin Cities.
Southeast Minnesota is a health care and agricultural powerhouse. The region is home to the renowned Mayo Clinic and some of the world's most recognized food companies and brands. Advanced manufacturing is especially strong here, with medical devices, machinery, and chemicals among the top products.
