New Mexico Baptist Children’s Home (NMBCH) has been on a mission to offer hope to children and families in need for over a century. We are looking for dedicated married couples to join us as Houseparents at our campuses in Portales, NM, and our soon-to-open location in Estancia, NM.

Make a Difference: You will be on the frontlines of a great mission field, providing love and care to children who have faced trauma.

Live in Community: You will not do this alone. You will be a part of a committed Christian community, actively involved in a Southern Baptist Church.
Provide a Stable Home: You will live in a large home on the NMBCH campus and parent up to nine resident children.
What We Offer:
Competitive Salary: $65,000 per couple.
Generous Benefits:
Housing and utilities, including internet.
100% paid health, dental, long-term disability, and life insurance premiums for employees and dependents.
Employer contributions to a 403b retirement plan with additional matching options.
Scholarship opportunities for dependent children.
Relocation assistance.
· Work-Life Balance: Enjoy an appealing schedule of 16 days on and 8 days off, giving you over 15 weeks off each year.
About Our Locations:
Portales, NM: A welcoming town with 17,000 residents, home to Eastern New Mexico University and near Cannon Air Force Base. Rich in archaeological history and community spirit.
Estancia, NM: A beautiful rural community, just an hour from Albuquerque, with ample mountains and outdoor spaces to explore.
Requirements:
Committed Christians: Actively involved in a Southern Baptist Church.
Passionate Caregivers: A strong calling to work with children from hard places.
Team-Oriented: You will work with a team of committed staff who are all focused on providing a safe and loving home for our children.
Houseparents may have up to two dependent children (preferably over the age of 10) and one well-behaved pet (case-by-case basis).
