Part-time children's ministry director

About the Job:
Lord’s Grace Christian Church is a non-denominational church located in Mountain View, CA. We are looking for a part-time children’s ministry director (up to 25 hours per week) to lead the Millbrae church plant.
Position Overview
Lord’s Grace Christian Church started a church plant in Millbrae in 2023. We are seeking a Children’s Ministry Director who has a heart for discipling children, equipping parents, and reaching new families. This role will focus on leading Sunday School, engaging with parents, and developing outreach opportunities to help young families connect with the church.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching
• Lead weekly Children's Sunday School on Sunday afternoons.
• Create a welcoming and safe environment for children to learn about Jesus.
Family Engagement
• Partner with parents to encourage discipleship at home.
• Communicate regularly with parents, providing resources and updates.
• Build relationships with families to help them feel connected to the church.
Outreach
• Identify and reach out to families with young children in the community.
• Plan occasional events that engage new families and encourage church participation.
• Work alongside church leadership to develop growth strategies for the children’s ministry.
Qualifications & Skills
• A strong personal faith in Jesus Christ and commitment to biblical teaching.
• Experience in children’s ministry, education, or a related field (preferred).
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Passion for working with children and families.
• Ability to recruit, train, and encourage volunteers.
• Ability to speak Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is a plus, but not necessary
