Associate Pastor (with focus on Discipleship and Connections

First Baptist Church of Junction City

28957 18th Ave. W. (P.O. Box 6), Junction City, OR 97448 USA   MAP
Demographic: Rural - 20 minutes from Eugene, 35 from Corvallis
Statement Of Faith: The Bible – the Old and New Testaments, are a Divine revelation. The original writing of which is inspired by the Holy Spirit, is without error and infallible, and is the final authority in all matters of faith and practice
God – Eternal Creator of all existence, has revealed Himself as a Trinity in unity; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is three Persons, yet one God; co-eternal in being, co-identical in nature, co-equal in power and glory.
Jesus Christ – the eternal Son of God. He is the image of the invisible God and is God Himself. He took on the nature of man, being conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin, Mary, in order that He might come to earth in a human body to reveal God and to redeem sinful men. He died on the cross as a substitutionary sacrifice for the sin of all the world; He rose from the dead; He ascended into heaven, where He is now, our interceding High Priest. He will come again and visibly set up His kingdom and judge the living and the dead, and rule and reign forever.
Holy Spirit – the eternal Spirit of God, is a Person who convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. He is the supernatural agent in regeneration and is the One through Whom the believer is baptized into the Body of Christ, which is the Church. He indwells the lives of believers and seals them unto the day of redemption. He is the Divine Teacher Who guides believers into the truth. It is the privilege and duty of all believers to be filled with the Spirit.
Man – created in the image of God but fell into sin. In that sense humanity is alienated from God and is lost. This is true of all people and unless he or she believes in Christ, they cannot enter the kingdom of God.
Salvation – Salvation is the free gift of God by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, who bore our sins in His own body on a cross. Nothing can separate people of true faith from the love of God since they are saved by the power of God not our own power.
