Statement Of Faith: | A a trauma therapist practicing relational neuroscience who also identifies with Judeo-Christian beliefs, I affirm my faith in a loving, transcendent God who embraces all creation. I believe God made humanity in the divine image, celebrating the diversity of identities, orientations, and experiences, and calling us to lives of authenticity, curiosity, kindness, and justice. I find inspiration in Jesus whose life and teachings reveal a path of radical love, inclusion, and healing. This example guides me to affirm the worth of every person and challenge systems of oppression. I trust in a Spirit of transformation that fosters resilience, comforts those in pain, and inspires communities to embody love. I believe in science, in intelligent design and the evolutionary process of neurogenesis. Scripture, shaped by divine inspiration and interpreted through reason, tradition, and experience, informs my faith. I approach humans and my faith with humility, thoroughly aligning with the responsibility and invitation to love God and love people above all. As a Presbyterian associated with the PCUSA, I value discernment, the equality of all believers, and in God’s enduring presence despite the sorrows we face in life. My work as a trauma therapist is rooted in applied neuroscience, my work reflects my faith by honoring the connection between mind, body, and spirit. I believe healing can flow through safe relationship, and that the role of therapist can atone for the many mistakes churches make. My affirming stance stems from the belief that divine love includes every human and my practice aims to create safe spaces for exploration of self and others. Service, advocacy, self-reflection, justice-mindedness, curiosity, kindness, and compassion drive my practice of psychotherapy and interactions with my employees, friends and family. |

I am currently hiring interns and associates to join our trauma therapist team. I have two interns who will be graduating in December and who are training in interpersonal neurobiology (the application of neuroscience in therapy).
As an counseling intern you will be offered a stipend and as a graduated associate you will be offered a percentage of your session rate. In exchange I will offer you supervision, a steady stream of referrals, office space when available, training in interpersonal neurobiology, group consultation, and how to run a successful cash pay private practice that serves your community and builds wealth. You will have the ability to keep all of your clients at the time of completion of our contract as well; I am interested in helping you thrive and build!
There is a lot of autonomy in our group, and I am looking for self-starters who are interested in primarily working with clients presenting with complex trauma.
About me: I am a doctoral candidate (meaning I have successfully completed all coursework, comprehensive exams, and internship for a Ph.D. program) currently working on my dissertation. I LOVE teaching students and want to help you in the process of becoming a clinician in our community. I value your individual strength as a human and want to learn about your incredible knowing.
Please reach out if you have any questions. Warmly, Kimberly
