CedarCreek Church is a multisite, non-denominational church located throughout Northwest Ohio, with campuses in and around the Greater Toledo area. The church currently reaches around 7,000 people each weekend across its six campuses. Known for its engaging weekend experiences and passion for helping people take their next step in their spiritual journey, CedarCreek is committed to developing the next generation of leaders and fully devoted followers of Jesus.
CedarCreek is currently seeking a high-capacity Campus Director of Students to join their team. This leader will oversee all aspects of Student Ministry (grades 6–12) at one of CedarCreek’s campuses in the Greater Toledo area. They will be responsible for leading a thriving team of DreamTeam volunteers, building relationships with students and families, and executing a compelling midweek and weekend student experience. The Director of Students will also collaborate with CedarCreek’s Central Student Support Team to align with church-wide strategy and vision while contextualizing ministry to their local campus.
The right candidate will have a deep personal life in Christ and the character and capacity that align with the church’s overall mission and vision. Below are the qualifications and responsibilities Froot Group and the church have identified for this role:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead the execution of all middle and high school ministry environments at the assigned campus, including weekend and Wednesday night programming.
Recruit, train, and develop DreamTeam volunteers to serve in both student groups and large group settings.
Build authentic relationships with students, helping them take next steps in their spiritual journey.
Partner with parents and caregivers as needed to support the spiritual formation of students.
Collaborate with the Central Student Support Team to implement church-wide strategies and curriculum.
Empower and equip student leaders through a leadership development track.
Teach and host regularly at student gatherings, creating a consistent and engaging teaching presence.
Execute Central events, camps, retreats, and special gatherings at the campus level.
Maintain healthy team culture and spiritual development among all leaders.
Work closely with the Campus Pastor and Central Support to evaluate, improve, and grow the student ministry.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Lifestyle aligned with biblical leadership standards (1 Tim. 3:1-13; 2 Tim. 2; Titus 1:5-9).
A clear calling and passion for student ministry
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to recruit, develop, and lead volunteer teams
Energetic, engaging, and able to build trust with students, families, and leaders
Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple moving pieces effectively
Familiarity with CedarCreek’s culture and alignment with the church’s mission and values
Competent in using technology and productivity tools for ministry execution
Must be a tithing, Missional Member in good standing at CedarCreek (or willing to become one)
Active engagement in weekend services and small group participation
Willingness to participate in team collaboration and weekly staff meetings
Education
Some college coursework in a relevant field is preferred, not required.
Experience
2–5 years of student ministry leadership and volunteer development experience preferred.
