Preteen Coordinator

The Preteen Ministry Coordinator will work closely with the Director of Preteen Ministry to implement programming for 4th & 5th graders that aligns with the mission and vision of Alderwood. This person will be responsible for coordinating teams, executing programs, as well as recruiting and managing volunteers. The ideal candidate loves to have some fun and see kids connect with each other, grow in their faith, and go do what Jesus is calling them to do.

Summary of Position
• Assist with the development and implementation of curriculum and programming.
• Provide ongoing support and communication to volunteer teams.
• Help lead preteen students and their families during programs and events.
• Assist with parent communications and updates.
• Work with the team to lead events, camps, retreats.
• Attend meetings and trainings as required.
• Performs other related duties and assignments as required. Alderwood Community Church maintains the right to reassign or change duties as needed.

Basic Qualifications
• 1+ years of ministry experience, preferably kids or family ministry.
• Must become a member of Alderwood Community Church, be in agreement with our Mission and Doctrinal Statement, and demonstrate a commitment to follow Jesus.

Line of Authority
• Reports to Director – Preteen.

Physical Demands
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds on a regular basis.
