Grace Church of Central Point is currently searching for a senior (lead) pastor. We are waiting for the Lord to provide a shepherd in his time. The candidate for senior pastor should be a man who is between 35 and 60 years of age and has a concern for the congregation and desires to see spiritual growth. This man needs to be approachable and available to both staff and congregation. He needs to have time for people, and yet have the discipline to continue in personal bible study and prayer, along with preparation of sermons and lessons. This person’s walk with the Lord should be an example to the congregation, with character above reproach.
Objective: The purpose of Grace Church is to provide for the worship of God through the teaching and preaching of the word of God, for the winning of people to a personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and for the spiritual growth of its members. Grace is part of the Conservative Baptist family.
Grace Church of Central Point is spiritually administered by the Deacon Ministry which is accountable to the church congregation.
Our facility was built in 1912. However, Grace Church was established in 1971. We are located in the Rogue River Valley in southern Oregon. Central Point is an incorporated city and considered part of the Medford, Oregon metropolitan area. The population of Central Point is approximately 19,000.
About us: We are a friendly unified church with a caring family atmosphere and financially sound. The majority of the congregation is serious and committed in their Christian walk with the Lord. The congregation is presently composed of a mix of children, middle age, and senior adults as follows: Children (13%), Middle age (32%), Senior adults (55%). Official membership is 63, however Sunday service attendance varies from 50 to 100. These numbers reflect post-COVID attendance.
If applying, please include your views on eschatology, security of the believer, church polity, marriage/divorce, atonement, current denomination affiliation, conversion experience, views on tongues, signs, and your 3 prominent spiritual gifts. All candidates must undergo a criminal background check.
