The Big Picture
First Baptist Church of Blanchester (GARB C)(www. firstbapti stblanchester.org) is looking for Pastor that shares our desire for church growth through solid biblical preaching, individual discipleship, application of church revitalization as deemed appropriate, and evangelism. Our present focus on worldwide missions must also continue and be supported by our pastor.
The Overview
We are located in a rural setting 30 miles east of Cincinnati Ohio. Our pastor is retiring after 11 years and we are seeking a suitable replacement to carry on the work of bringing the Gospel to a community which largely does not attend church services.
Many are persons who once attended local churches but have drifted away from the faith over the years.
Typical Sunday morning services follow a blended style whereby a mix of contemporary Christian songs and hymns complement sermons that are relevant, practical, and biblically centered. FBC is affiliated with the GARBC whose goal it is to maintain uniform standards of theology and doctrine within member churches. FBC is independent and not subject to any governance from the GARBC.
Minimum Job Responsibilities
• Develop and deliver weekly sermons and facilitate a meaningful worship experience. In addition, he provides devotionals for Wednesday night prayer meeting.
• Actively develop relationships with church members to effectively disciple, equip, support and encourage them.
• Serve and minister to individuals in times of crisis.
• Provide counseling support to church members as needed.
• Be aware of the work of the missions committee and offer advice and encouragement.
• Prepare annual budget and present to Advisory Board.
• Perform baptisms, weddings and funerals.

Minimum Qualifications

• Evidence of love for Jesus Christ our Savior exhibited in the life of the applicant and in his work.
• Baptist Ordained minister with Master's in Divinity from GARBC accredited University or equivalent preferred.
• Meaningful pastoral experience preferred.
• Exemplifies the biblical requirements of l Timothy 3: 1- 10, Titus 1: 5- 16, and 1
Peter 5: 1-2.
• Demonstrated ability to articulate biblical theology in a manner that is understandable and applicable for church members.
• Servant leader who has strong leadership skills, communication ability both written and verbal, and a team mindset.

Total Salary and Benefits

• Salary will be commensurate with education and experience.
• Compensation package can be structured to meet individual needs including housing allowance, medical benefits, continuing education, pension, and salary.
• If housing needs call for a parsonage one is available.
