Who We Are - Hollyview Church is a worshiping community of Jesus followers that exists to glorify God. We desire to grow together, make disciples of Jesus, share the Gospel, and humbly serve Him. We are a multi-generational congregation in a suburban/rural setting just outside the Portland area with a regular attendance of approximately 180 people. We are a congregation-led church with leadership consisting of elders, deacons, ministry leaders, and staff. Hollyview values and maintains one service for connection and fellowship. Growth is approaching capacity and plans for a modest expansion project are in the early phases but ultimately our desire is to grow to not more than 300 people before planting a new church. This is because we believe that the most effective way to disciple people is in the context of a smaller community.

As we continue growing in faith and in number, our desire is to build on the foundation God has already laid here while also remaining open to how the Lord continues to shape our church community. Discipleship at Hollyview is central. We believe that the primary way to disciple and be discipled is by doing ministry in community. We look for ways to link arms with those around us, frequently and intentionally inviting others to join alongside. We trust that this is part of what empowers and equips the saints to share the Gospel beyond the walls of our church building. We believe every level of ministry is an opportunity for discipleship. We believe that it is the role of the church to build one another up to be a priesthood of all believers. A well-loved part of our church culture is what we call Theology in Community. We love studying the whole Bible together and learning from each other.

The Role - Hollyview Church is prayerfully seeking a relational, mission-minded, Spirit-led pastor to serve our church family in discipleship, teaching, and shared leadership. As the primary teaching elder of the church, we desire that our pastor would preach an average of three times a month, sharing the pulpit with others because we believe that the congregation benefits greatly from hearing from multiple voices.

Our pastor will join with elders, deacons, ministry leaders, and staff to discern the needs of the church and support the spiritual health of the body. Essential to this role is a humble posture that is focused on pastoral care, collaboration, and a heart for discipling others.

Qualifications - We’re looking for an Elder qualified pastor (according to 1 Tim 3:1-7 and Titus 1:7-9) who has ministry experience, theological grounding (MDiv or equivalent is preferred), and a love for the church as family.
