Director of Music & Arts

Downtown Cornerstone Church

Seattle, WA USA   MAP
Demographic: Urban
Statement Of Faith: https://bit.ly/dcc-believe

OBJECTIVE
The Director of Music & Arts partners with the DCC elders to cultivate a culture of worship through our
corporate gatherings, special events, and online presence. The Director will work closely with the Lead Pastor to
oversee all corporate worship, music ministry (bands, musicians, hymnody, and more), and audio/visual teams.
The ideal candidate will have a track record of strong leadership in congregational worship, proven ability to
develop leaders, and a creative vision for leveraging music/arts/video/production technologies to display the
unsearchable riches of Christ—in the middle of the least religious metro in the US.
WHAT KIND OF MAN WE’RE LOOKING FOR
A Biblically-Qualified Pastor
Depending on the applicant, this role will begin as at the director level but is intended, in the years ahead, to
mature into an assistant or associate pastoral position. Given the public nature of his leadership, this man must
meet the qualifications for eldership found in 1 Timothy 3:1–7, Titus 1:5–9, and 1 Peter 5:1–4.

• Administrative ability — capable of organizing a complex ministry, while leveraging the strengths of others.
• Additional skills (preferred) — experience in songwriting, audio/visual production, visual arts, or design.
An Equipper
DCC aims to make Jesus known across the street and around the world. Since a pastor’s primary role is to “equip
the saints for the work of ministry” (Ephesians 4:12), this man should have a growing ability to train, oversee, and
lead leaders. He should also share a vision for equipping and sending leaders—whether to church plants, sister
