Willamette Christian Church

3153 South Brandywine Road, West Linn, OR 97068 USA   MAP
Statement Of Faith: https://willamette.cc/about

We are a church that exists to inspire people to know, love, and follow Jesus, as well as
engage in meaningful ways with our neighbors, meeting real physical, emotional, and
spiritual needs. Serving communities in South Tabor, Beaverton, Milwaukie, Mt. Scott,
and West Linn, our ministry is guided by three values: radical hospitality, uncommon
humility, and sacrificial generosity. We believe that where these values are lived out by a
group of people, there you will also find an impact made for the Kingdom of God that is
truly undeniable – drawing even more people into relationship with Him.
Each of our campuses are responsible for shaping ministry to meet the unique needs of
their local community. While our campuses all have the same values, teach the same
sermon series, and share a general approach to ministry, most decisions are made
locally to ensure our congregation and community are best served.
In this role, you’ll:
● Ensure family ministries maintain centrality to Jesus and the gospel
message by providing oversight of curriculum content, seasonal programs,
events and initiatives.
● Oversee all aspects of on-site and off-site All City Kids and Youth programs.
● Implement and promote All City Kids and Youth ministry programs and events.
● Work with campus leadership team in selecting and leading key family events.
● Demonstrate forward-thinking in family ministry by developing classroom
environments, leader training, and parent resourcing for a new era of kids and
youth ministries.
● Develop and implement grace-filled and mission-oriented strategy to recruit,
train, develop leaders.
● Work with volunteers and staff to develop goals, objectives, outcomes and action
plans for your areas of responsibility to meet the overall objectives of our church.
● Foster healthy relationships with other volunteer teams (e.g. Safety, Hospitality,
Janitorial, etc) to support best practices to keep kids and youth safe and
environments safe during all events.
● Provide supervision, decision making, and fiscal accountability for all family
ministries related efforts.
● Oversee significant family milestone programs and events (e.g. child dedication,
graduations, etc).
● Participate in scaling our ministries for the needs of the future communities that
we may serve.
● Refine and continue to evaluate the All City integration for new families and their
children.
● Bring unity and team-thinking to serve the unique challenges of each location
(e.g. sharing ideas, resources, etc.) so that family ministries can thrive
appropriately at each location.
● Collaborate with the Adoptive & Foster Care ministry lead in order to support the
unique needs of adoptive and foster families in our community.
● Oversee paid childcare.
● Be aware of, and communicate, local opportunities and tools for marriage and
parenting equipping and support.
● Develop opportunities for marriage/parenting equipping.
All of our staff members are leaders who:
● Set the standard for a consistent Christ-like character, properly aligned with
Scripture.
● Promote and foster healthy relationships with staff members, volunteers and
attendees.
● Maintain an active, supportive and engaged relationship with staff members at all
campuses.
● Demonstrate character-based leadership with staff, volunteers and attendees.
● Communicate consistently and clearly with staff, volunteers and attendees.
