Rather than simply tell people about the life-changing love of Jesus, we want to show them by the way we serve them. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory. We believe that when a person exercises saving faith in Christ they pass, immediately, out of spiritual death into spiritual life. Key Responsibilities:
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Preach and teach the gospel according to sound biblical doctrine. Plan and lead worship services (including determining the order of worship and music) and administer sacraments.
- Provide spiritual guidance to the congregation.
- Conduct wedding, funerals, baptisms, membership classes.
- Offer pastoral care, visitations, counseling, and support to individuals and families in times of need.
- Moderate the Session and, with the elders, be responsible for the oversight of all ministries in the church.
- Attendance at monthly Deacon meeting, providing training, encouragement and a short devotion.
- Give direction and support to other ministry teams.
- Has a heart for outreach in the community and encourages and supports involvement in activities that encourage community engagement, furthering the Kingdom of God.
Qualifications:
- 5 years + experience.
-Education: Master of divinity (M.Div.) degree from a strong evangelical seminary.
- Ordained or able to be ordained into the Evangelical Presbyterian Church.
- Fully supportive of Reformed theology and the positions of the EPC
