Job Overview
The primary nature of this position is to oversee the development of all children’s ministry from birth through fifth grade.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Christian Ministry, Bible, and/or theology (strongly preferred).
- 5+ years experience in church ministry or Christian organization.
- Uses expertise in childhood development in partnering with parents to help build strong families.
- Can effectively manage children’s programing.
- Excels at building healthy volunteer teams.
- Able to brainstorm, work and support other ministries as we work towards a unified goal.
- Has the ability to assess needs and address them in defined areas of responsibility.
Main Responsibilities
- Disciples children by routinely calling individuals and groups into stronger faith in Jesus.
- Recruit, train, develop, and oversee volunteer staff.
Is responsible for all Sunday morning and mid-week children’s programing birth-5th grade including staffing, curriculum, budget, and building use.
- Continues to develop our Disability Ministry.
- Collaborates with all ministries of the church.
- Provide counseling and parenting help as needed to our church body.
