GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Worship and Music Ministries Director is a member of the Ministry Staff and is identified for a specific period of
service by the Administrative Director and Senior Pastor. He/she will oversee the worship ministry of Camano Chapel.
He/she will lead, and shepherd lay ministry team leaders of Camano Chapel with guidance and encouragement under
the supervision of the Senior Pastor. He/she is expected to contribute to the team spirit of the staff through fellowship,
encouragement, cooperation, prayer support, and other appropriate ways, as he/she serves the Lord Jesus Christ, the church, and the Senior Pastor.
POSITION PURPOSE STATEMENT:
To shepherd the worship team by teaching, facilitating and leading by example to maintain a singleness of purpose as
they seek to fulfill the vision and mission of Camano Chapel. This would include, but not limited to, planning,
scheduling and coordinating worship music, special music, worship teams, seasonal choirs/ensembles, consistent with
the sermon theme determined by the Senior Pastor. This is an equipping ministry to recruit, train, develop, and oversee
lay leaders, “modeling the ministry” by activities and relationships. This ministry is to be carried out with love,
cooperation and mutual accountability, leading to the accomplishment of personal and ministerial goals under the
direction and enabling of the Holy Spirit.
GENERAL EXPCTATIONS:
1. Meets the biblical requirements of a Deacon/Deaconess (I Timothy 3:8-13)
2. Spends time in daily prayer and maintaining a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
3. Spends time in the daily study of God’s Word
4. Is involved in personal discipleship, either one to one or small group
5. Stays current with the trends of his/her ministry by listening to music, reading books, periodicals and attending
approved conferences
6. As much as it is possible, attends all staff meetings and retreats as directed
7. Is at Camano Chapel for regular worship services and as directed, special services
8. Is available to other worship team members and congregation before, during and after services as other duties
allow
9. Maintains flexible working hours as determined by the needs of his/her ministry
10. Remains personally & passionately committed to the Worship and Music vision for Camano Chapel

| Benefits: | Health care stipend, retirement stipend, 80 Hours Vacation to start and Paid sick leave per L & I guidelines. Observe 9 Holidays as well as the week between Christmas Day through New Year’s Day. |
