Position Overview
The Associate Pastor of Next Generation Ministries will provide pastoral leadership, discipleship, and oversight for the next generation ministries of Grace Bible Church, including student ministries and children’s ministry support.
This pastor will work closely with the Senior Pastor, elders, ministry staff, parents, and volunteer leaders to cultivate a culture of discipleship that helps children and students grow into spiritually mature followers of Jesus Christ who are connected to the life and mission of the church.
In addition to next-generation ministry leadership, this role will include opportunities for broader pastoral involvement within the church through teaching, discipleship, leadership development, and shepherding ministry.
We are not simply seeking a ministry program director. We are seeking a shepherd, disciple-maker, teacher, and humble servant leader.

• Teach Scripture faithfully and engagingly in youth gatherings, classes, and discipleship settings.
• Cultivate a culture of gospel-centered discipleship among students.
• Develop meaningful relationships with students and families.
• Recruit, train, equip, and shepherd volunteer leaders.
• Plan retreats, camps, mission opportunities, and special events that support spiritual growth and community.
Children’s Ministry Oversight
• Provide leadership and support to the Children’s Ministry Director.
• Help ensure theological consistency and discipleship continuity from childhood through adulthood.
• Support volunteer development, curriculum alignment, and ministry health within children’s ministry.

• Support the overall mission and ministry direction of Grace Bible Church.

• Participate in pastoral ministry alongside the elder team and staff.
• Preach periodically as opportunities arise.
• Assist in counseling, shepherding, visitation, and member care ministries.
• Participate in staff meetings, ministry planning, and leadership development.

Preferred qualifications:
• Formal biblical or theological training.
• Previous ministry experience in youth, discipleship, or pastoral ministry.
• Experience developing volunteers and ministry leaders.
Who Thrives at Grace Bible Church
The pastor who thrives at Grace Bible Church is someone who genuinely loves people and loves the local church. He values faithfulness over platform-building and discipleship over performance.
He is humble, teachable, emotionally mature, and relationally warm. He enjoys working as part of a team and desires to build unity rather than draw attention to himself. He is comfortable serving both publicly and behind the scenes and finds joy in equipping others for ministry.
He values strong biblical teaching and theological clarity while also demonstrating grace, patience, and compassion toward people. He understands that ministry is not merely about running programs but about shepherding souls and helping people follow Christ.
He thrives in an intergenerational church environment where relationships matter deeply and where ministry happens through both intentional discipleship and everyday life together.
Most importantly, he desires long-term faithfulness in ministry and wants to help build a healthy church that loves Jesus, loves His Word, and loves people well.
