Youth Ministry Intern

Youth ministry Internship Opportunity -

Cross of Grace Christian Church is seeking a Youth Ministry Intern, currently in seminary, to serve alongside our church community and help disciple the youth of our church through relationship-building, teaching, mentorship, worship, outreach, and special events. We are a predominately Chinese church located in San Leandro, California, desiring to impact the community through the proclamation and transformation of the Gospel. Candidates having experience in an Asian church and context is a plus but not required.

This internship is designed for seminarians or ministry-minded students who want practical experience in:

• Teaching and leading Sunday youth gatherings
• Learning to care and minister to youth of all ages
• Discipleship
• Working alongside church leadership
• Developing leadership and communication skills
• Exploring a calling to youth or pastoral ministry

Responsibilities/Duties include:

• Assume the role of the primary leader of our youth service/meeting on Sunday mornings (2-3 hours on Sunday & subsequent time outside of Sunday when needed)
• Weekly planning and preparation outside of Sunday meeting times
• Teach biblical sound lessons and lead relevant discussions
• Have monthly meetings with the English Pastor to review weekly lessons
• Be a liaison between parents and the church
• Help brainstorm and assist in developing curriculum K-5 group
• Help plan and collaborate with the other congregations in joint events

Compensation:

Monthly stipend of $850
