Youth Director

Position Overview
Connect Church is seeking a Spirit-led, engaging, spiritually and emotionally healthy Youth Director with a passion for guiding middle school and high school students in their faith journey. This person will partner with volunteers and parents to disciple our youth to live out the Great Commission, Great Commandments, and the New Commandments in practical and impactful ways.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute a comprehensive intergenerational vision for the youth ministry (middle school and high school) that prepares them for a lifelong faith journey.
Plan and lead engaging weekly youth gatherings, Bible studies, and special events or retreats.
Build, empower, and train a team of passionate adult volunteers to serve as youth mentors and leaders.
Provide pastoral care and spiritual guidance to youth and their families alongside the pastoral team.
Collaborate with staff to ensure the youth are integrated into the larger church body.
Partner with parents by providing resources and clear communication to support discipleship at home.

Qualifications
A growing, vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ.
Exemplify the characteristics of a mature believer as outlined in Scripture.
Demonstrated passion for youth ministry, adolescent development and evangelism.
Experience in teaching and communicating biblical truths in a way that resonates with teenagers.
Comfortable engaging across cultural and ethnic boundaries in an intergenerational setting.
A lifelong learner with a teachable spirit.
Strong interpersonal, administrative, and leadership skills.
Ministry-related degree or equivalent experience in youth leadership (open to taking relevant seminary classes if there is no seminary training yet).

We believe that those who are called to full time ministry should be treated with respect and honor. We strive to offer competitive salaries and benefits to the best of our ability. We currently model our salary after comparable compensation in the education field.
