Sunset Moms Childcare Leader

We are looking for caring, energetic individuals who love children and are excited to help create a safe, fun, and Christ-centered environment during our Moms Ministry gatherings. These gatherings occur twice a month for a total of 6 hours.

Our childcare leaders should enjoy engaging with young children through play, stories, crafts, songs, and age-appropriate activities while helping them experience the love of Jesus. We are looking for people who can confidently take initiative, lead a classroom with warmth and enthusiasm, and adapt to the changing needs of young children.

Each childcare leader will oversee a classroom of approximately 8–15 children (either infants–23-month-olds, 2–3-year-olds, or 4–5-year-olds) and provide leadership for two adult volunteers. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, communicates well with both children and adults, and can create a welcoming atmosphere where every child feels known, loved, and cared for.

Previous experience caring for young children—whether through nannying, babysitting, daycare, preschool, Sunday school, or a similar setting—is preferred. CPR and First Aid certification are also preferred. Childcare leaders should be willing to receive training on our childcare policies and procedures, including diapering and age-appropriate bathroom assistance, to ensure a safe and consistent environment for every child.
