Worship Arts Pastor
Reports to: Senior Pastor
Employment Status: Full-time
Starting Salary: $85,000 (depending on experience, qualifications & education)

POSITION SUMMARY
The Worship Arts Pastor leads our church family in worship that reflects our mission of enjoying and sharing the abundant life of Jesus (Jn 10:10, 15:5). He develops worship teams, equips volunteers, and shapes a worship culture that helps our church live out its calling to be disciples who make disciples.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead Worship Gatherings – Plan and lead worship services that help people encounter Jesus through music, Scripture, prayer, and other creative expressions of worship.
• Disciple Worship Teams – Recruit, mentor, and shepherd musicians, vocalists, and tech volunteers, helping them grow spiritually and musically.
• Shape Worship Culture – Foster unity, prayerfulness, and theological depth in all worship environments.
• Oversee Creative Arts – Provide oversight of all music ministries. Guide audio-visual, musical, and technical elements so they support the gospel and strengthen the church’s mission.
• Collaborate with Staff & Leaders – Work closely with the Senior Pastor and other staff to plan services, seasonal events, and special events. Help other ministry departments
develop worship teams and offer quality worship experiences.
• Manage Welcome Team – Provide oversight of the Welcome Team (Ushers, Greeters, Information Center, etc.)
• Manage Budget – Develop and submit a proposed annual budget for all areas of oversight.
• Perform Pastoral Duties – Perform other pastoral tasks as assigned by the Senior Pastor, including assisting with funerals, counseling, outreach, attending staff meetings,
etc.

• A born-again, spiritually-mature man who meets the qualifications of an elder (in accordance with 1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9)

(1) Proven ability to equip others
(2) Proven ability to train leaders
(3) Proven ability in counseling and discipling
(4) Proven ability in the Word and theology

(6) Strong social skills – loves to collaborate, plan and work with others
(7) Passion for cultivating a deep life of prayer personally & corporately
b. Music
(1) Called and gifted in leading a congregation in worship
(2) Able to lead worship in a variety of musical styles with joy & authenticity
(3) Able to instruct and coach musicians/vocalists and direct rehearsals
(4) Skilled in music theory and arranging
(5) Skilled in recruiting and motivating worship team members
(6) Comfortable learning and using technology in ministry (e.g. Planning Center, ProPresenter, Subsplash database, Google Docs, video editing, etc.)
c. Education & Experience
(1) At least three years of experience in full-time pastoral ministry preferred
(2) Bachelor’s Degree preferred
(3) Seminary Degree or certificate in Bible Training from a reputable institution preferred – or proven competence in Bible & Theology
Chemistry:
(1) Agreement with our church’s doctrinal statement, mission, vision and values.
(2) Must have credibility with our strongest musicians.
(3) Must be willing to serve at least five years in this local church unless otherwise
mutually agreed upon by you and the church leadership.

Campus Bible Church is located in Fresno, California, in the Central Valley – situated 2 hours west of Yosemite National Park, 3 hours east of the coast, 3 hours south of San Francisco and 3.5 hours north of Los Angeles.
Campus Bible Church is a multi-site, multi-staff, multi-generational, elder-guided, staff-managed, globally-minded church of approximately 1,000 people in two locations.
Our Maple Campus is a 5-acre facility (including an auditorium that seats 350, a gymnasium, and an education building) and is located 1-block south of California State University Fresno.
Our Palm Campus is a 2.5-acre facility (including an auditorium that seats 225, a Fellowship Hall and Solarium,) and is located in central Fresno, 4.5 miles from our Maple Campus.
